InfoPath is NOT dead!

InfoPath is not quite dead in the ground!  Recent
developments show that Microsoft is having a harder time replacing the functionality than they expected.

Here's a summary of this well written and researched article:
  1. InfoPath Forms Services will be included in SharePoint 2016
  2. Forms on SharePoint Lists (FoSL, the anticipated successor to InfoPath with list customization) is on indefinite hold!
  3. InfoPath 2013 is still the last version of InfoPath.
Now, from this, I draw my own personal conclusions that Microsoft will be mutating InfoPath rather than putting it dead into the ground.  Rumors of InfoPath's demise may have been premature. Honestly unless you go to a 3rd party solution or learn to code, there isn't a comparable product available.

Hopefully we'll learn more at the Microsoft Ignite conference.  I can't wait for May and hope to see you there!
